Tugger & Harley
Gary has been our dog’s caretaker for some time now. Like many dog owners, we are extremely selective about who cares for our dogs when we are away. We work daily with our dogs to provide them with a balanced atmosphere and knowing that Gary shares our same philosophy is something this is extremely rare. Gary is not only trust worthy, but he delivers far more than you would expect from the average caretaker. He exercises our dogs in a structured manner, keeping in stride with what we have taught them. He practices agility with them, plays with them, feeds them and much more. Coming home to a happy, healthy and balanced dog is priceless!
I adopted a pit bull from the animal orphanage in Voorhees about 2 years ago. Matilda is a great fun loving dog but has animal aggression and can become very hard to walk when other Dogs cross her path. About a year ago my family went on vacation and we put Matilda in a kennel. What a mistake that was. I have been very hesitant to go on vacation due to the fact I don’t want Matilda in a kennel again and no one can seem to handle Matilda when other animal are around. About a month ago I was referred to Gary to take care of Matilda while I was on vacation. This was the best experience Matilda ever had. Gary did a lot of exercising with Matilda and when we got back from vacation Matilda was easier to handle when walking her around other dogs. I highly recommend Gary’s services as it has benefited tremendously with Matilda!!!

Mullen
Balanced Dogs LLC allows you to enjoy your vacation worry free!!!
In 2007, we had left our 6-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Mullen, in a kennel for 3 days while on vacation. Mullen did not adapt well to being locked away, with little human interaction. He ended up with pinch nerves and we ended up with a sick dog and huge vet bill.

It was very important to us to have Mullen be well taken care of at home, while we were away in May 2008. Gary Cassera gave us that comfort. Gary takes the time to meet with you and your dog to gather all the important information – Mullen’s feeding and walking schedule, likes and dislikes. Gary also did a preliminary run with Mullen and introduced him to his own dog and other client’s dogs to ensure that they would interact well during the week. Mullen had his own great vacation. Gary took him walking, running, roller blading, and had play dates with other dogs. Gary treated Mullen like his own dog and part of his family. Gary also took care of the miscellaneous things that help a great deal while on vacation (i.e. mail, newspaper, trash, feeding fish, etc…)
We would recommend Gary Cassera and his dog services to anyone. We have scheduled Gary for our future vacations and Mullen cannot wait!

Bubba
Being the proud owner of a Shih Tzu/Silky Terrier mix I never imagined how much work and effort would be needed to provide Bubba with a healthy and happy life. Gary has been very instrumental in ensuring that Bubba gets the exercise and attention needed when I have had to work long shifts at work. Gary has also helped Bubba socially by introducing him to many different breeds and sized dogs. Since Gary has been helping with Bubba I have noticed a change in Bubba’s behavior both inside and out side the house. Gary is very dependable and responsible with Bubba. It is easy going away for a few days knowing that Gary is there and that I do not have to leave Bubba n a kennel with total strangers that are tending to many dogs with various needs. I am grateful for Gary and he treats Bubba as if he were his own dog. Feel free to call with questions or concerns. Thanks So much Gary.

Governor
Gary has been a real lifesaver with our dog Governor. We were in a bind with me starting a new job over an hour away and were stuck with letting the dog out during the day. Previously, I was able to come home for lunch and now that convenience was gone.

Over a weekend we spoke with a person in the Kings Grant Association who said they knew of a person that was placing an ad in the upcoming newsletter. So, she gave us the number and we called immediately. When we called we were expecting to have to work around his schedule and not get the times and activities we wanted – we couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Gary immediately said that what times were good for us he was able to do, no questions asked. He was available that upcoming Monday! He explained to us all of his training and experience with dogs and even came over that night with his dog to meet Governor and see how they got along.
Needless to say, any time we needed Gary, even in a pinch, we couldn’t be happier with his promptness and professionalism. He keeps them VERY active and when we get home at the end of the day, Governor is tuckered out.
His ability to have the dogs play well together is a talent that few possess and us being a bit over-the-top with a dog, to say the least, has given us real peace-of-mind. I can’t say enough about our satisfaction with all he has done for us in our time of need.
Rigby
My initial experience with Gary Cassera was excellent. He met all my expectations as a responsible dog owner. I presented Gary with all my objectives for the care and activity of my Golden Retriever Rigby. I travel a lot during certain times of the year. It is important that Rigby get all the attention and activity a large, active dog needs.

Gary has taken Rigby into his pack gradually, introducing her to many different situations and types of dogs. Rigby’s energy level compliments the pack and Gary has her complete specific commands before, during and after her outing. He is asked to write the daily activity of Rigby in a dog diary and work on common commands.
Gary has become a friend to our family as well. I have recommended Gary to neighbors in our community because of many reasons. I am an advocate for good dog behavior. Gary helps me reach my goals as a responsible pet owner. I wish other pet owners understood the necessity of exercise and discipline on a daily basis.

Abby- aKa "Abra Cadabra"
One day, I fell in love with the most beautiful little boxer puppy that I decided to name “Abby”. She was so sweet, adorable and lovable how could I go wrong. I had done my research…
Smart, funny, loyal, best friend, love of home, energetic, females typically 55 lbs, I could handle that! What a perfect dog!
As Abby started to grow, she went through the typical challenging puppy months, and she got bigger and stronger. Our walks were extremely difficult, She was pulling me so hard, I twisted both ankles, broke a finger and went down many times ending up with skinned knees. My dog was now 75 lbs and built like a brick ____house. She barked at every person, dog, anything that made her feel unsafe. I loved her so much but did not know what to do.
One day a friend of mine introduced me to Gary. I in turn introduced Gary to Abby. It was love at first sight. (Abby and Gary I mean) He watched her and carefully evaluated her as he talked to me. As much
as I was at my wits end, I was not just going to hire anyone to train my baby.
Gary has managed to not only earn Abby’s love but her trust and loyalty to say the least. Gary has taught us both soooo much and when I say “us” it’s because it’s not just about the dog but it is about the owner even more. He can teach but we must follow through. I can now walk all over Kings Grant without one twisted ankle or skinned knee and with my beautiful 75 lb. baby at my side. Don’t get me wrong, we still have a little more work to do but it feels so good knowing I can count on Gary and know that someday soon, Abby and I will get it done.
Gary has been great in not just his training but the care and love he gives as well as understanding and friendship. Thanks, Gary
Love ya,
Abby and Bonnie
